Kansas City Chess Club Private Lesson Information
Our goal is to individualize lessons based on your age, chess knowledge, and goals. We educate both kids and adults.

Ken has coached numerous individual Missouri and Kansas State Champions and one National Chess Champion, Caleb Brown.

Individual Chess Lesson Packages
Green Knight Package (for players rated under 1000 USCF)

12 Chess Lessons – one hour each or 30 minutes each.

You will receive an opening for White, and two openings for Black.

You will be introduced to the rules of chess; for example, en passant.

You will be introduced to notation and tournament etiquette.

You will learn basic checkmates and how to attack the king.

You will learn basic tactics and how to win chess material.

You will learn winning endgame strategies.

You will receive a tournament chess set and board.

You will receive the Green Knight lesson booklet (includes all 12 lessons).

Your will receive the Green Knight Chess Diploma.

One Individual Chess Lesson (for all players)
Lessons are one hour or thirty minutes and are designed for the individual needs of each student. Topics of study are openings, middlegame, endings, tactics, and strategy.
Prices:
Individual One Hour $35 @ The Chess Club. Additional students are $10 each.
Individual One Hour $50 @ your home. Additional students are $15 each.
