Two Sections:
Elite Section: (For Players Rated OVER USCF 1800 No provisional or unrated players ) Appearance Fees available for players USCF rated over 2000. Text or email Ken at 816-446-3550 or kcchess@gmail.com if interested.
Open Section: Open to ALL Players rated U1800 ( provisional or unrated players accepted).
May combine sections based on attendance!
Registration: Online Registration Closes Thursday December 14th, 2023 or when 28 players are registered. NO Onsite Registration
Rounds & Time Control: Saturday 10AM, 2:30PM, 7PM Sunday 10AM, 2:30PM Time Control: G/90 + 30 INC.
Entry Fee: $55 Online Registration by December 14th, 2023. Attendance is LIMITED to 28 players. Register Early for your spot!
Memberships: USCF Membership is Required. ALL equipment provided.
Tournament Director: Bill Broich
Byes: One 1/2-point bye per player. Last round bye must be requested prior to the start of the 1st round to receive a 1/2-point. Byes for all other rounds must be requested 1 hour prior to the start of the round. USCF: ratings used for pairing rank. FIDE: Swiss pairing rules and floor rulings. USCF supplement used for ratings. FIDE rule 11.3 enforced with regards to electronic devices. Players must turn in a scoresheet for every game. NO ELECTRONIC SCORESHEETS. No spectators are allowed in the playing hall 10 minutes after the start of the round. Players are allowed to spectate after their game is over. Spectator rules are subject to change.
